Are There Actually Places That Will Give You Free Medical Services Such As Ob-gyn Services If You Can’t Afford?
it and you don’t have health insurance of any kind? I did have health insurance 2 months ago, I had it for about 6 months but my husband lost his job about 2 months ago and we couldn’t afford to keep paying it so I’m now without insurance. Just recently I’ve had some odd symptoms and it’s been years since I had a pap or any kind of exam down there so I know I need to go, but there’s no way I can afford it right now. I was just wondering if there’s any types of free clinics out there for women’s services? I live in Amarillo, TX. I did a search but didn’t find anything about free clinics or free medical services. Anyone know what I need to search to get the results I need?
there should be some sort of health department in your state that will perform exams for free they usually supply free birth control, condom and full exams.
I am in the SAME situation as you, I called planned parent hood and they are pretty expensive. $70-130 for just a pap exam… nothing else. I’ve looked everywhere also and nothing. Everyone tells me the same thing, that there are free clinics, well I sure can’t find any anywhere and I’ve called every doctor, and hospital around.

I would try to search for the nearest planned parenthood. They can charge you on a sliding scale. You can also check and look for a free clinic in your area.

There should be a local Planed Parenthood office there. Look in the phone book and call them. If you can’t find one call your local health department and ask them. There are many like you out there, so don’t feel bad about it or worry.
